Submission requirements: Send a CD. Include 1 PAGE sheet with band name (include pronunciation), type of music, city/state of origin, date of recording, release date, track listing*, website, and all contact information. *Mark 2 song "suggestions" (CLEAN songs or pre-edited versions only!!!) Indicate any tracks containing explicit language. Indicate any tracks you do not want played for any reason. Ideal track length is 3-5min. Under is fine. Songs over 5 minutes may be edited or disregarded due to excessive length. KEEP IN CONTACT. We tend to play bands that we hear from. Having your CD case labled on the spine, although not required, can only help you. New bands...PLEASE DO NOT e-mail MP3's. And, we receive a lot of submissions... Please be patient. Due to the number of submissions we receive, we unfortunately have to be selective. We recommend you submit your best music, quality recordings, and presentable packages.

A: We may be backed up with submissions and haven't gotten to your submission yet .
A: We unfortunately have to be more selective than usual due to the current amount of submissions.

Q: Why don't you have live performances and interviews on the show?
A: They eat up too much time. My goal is to air as many bands as possible in the hour.
Q: What types of music do you feature on EQX-Posure? A: We try to fit the WEQX feel for the most part, but sometimes I push the boundaries for EQX-Posure because it's local. If you're not already a listener (shame on you), tune in to the station to get a feel for what we do. I mainly play bands and solo artists in the rock and/or acoustic genres, but that's just because that's mostly what is submitted. I've had some heavy stuff (clean, of course), electronica...even hip-hop on the show. Country is really not the best fit for the station.
Q: Why can't you just go to my website, check out my band, and listen to my tunes? Do you take EPK'S?
A: Too many submissions...we don't have time to go to every band's website, read the bios, listen to and download music, and burn it on a CD. You have to send a CD and info sheet. That also shows a little extra effort and interest on your part.
Q: How can I get my big upcoming show plugged on EQX-Posure?
A: I always direct listeners to this page, which includes the current band websites, where you (hopefully) have your shows posted. You may also contact our advertising department.

Q: My band is much bigger than EQX-Posure. How do I get my band into regular rotation?
A: If your music is a candidate for regular WEQX airplay, we will let you know. If not, it certainly doesn't mean your music isn't good enough. It just means that local music has a spot reserved on WEQX already...EQX-Posure.
Q: How do you choose bands for the show?
A: We try to give everyone some "EQX-Posure" and treat all the bands the same. There are occasions that an artist won't be featured, for instance, if it is a poor recording, the band is from outside the region, the required information is not provided, or contact is not maintained. Plus, we do get a TON of submissions, so occasionally -and unfortunately, we have to be selective. The best thing to follow up, and again, if you don't hear anything initially. Go ahead...bug me.
Q: This local band is so awesome, why arent you playing them?
A: They may not have submitted any music to the show.
Q: This OLD local band WAS so awesome, why arent you playing them?
A: Due to the number of submissions and limited airtime, I try to play current music...new releases, or the artists latest music, going back a couple of years. Sometimes I'll get on a classic track for fun.
Q: How does the debut and rotation thing work?
A: Typically, a single debuts and stays on the show for a few weeks in a row. It may appear on the show again from time to time based on available time, current debuts, and new submissions. When you submit a new song, if it is chosen, your older song is usually replaced.
Q: How do I get on Local @ 11?
A: If you're on EQX-Posure, you will be rotated into Local @ 11 automatically.
