Questions or comments on EQX-Posure? Request for a local band?  Email kim@weqx.com

Local/Regional Bands...Want some EQX-Posure?
Send CD's and info (see below) to:
WEQX Attention: EQX-Posure, PO Box 1027, Manchester VT 05254

Submission requirements: Send a CD. Include 1 page sheet with band name (include pronunciation if it's not obvious), type of music, city/state of origin, date of recording, release date, track listing*, website, and all contact information. *Mark 2 song "suggestions" (CLEAN songs or pre-edited versions only!)  Indicate any tracks containing explicit language. Indicate any tracks you do not want played for any reason. Ideal track length is 3-5min (but hey, if it's a little longer, and it's awesome, no sweat).

We receive a lot of submissions... Please be patient.  We recommend you submit your best music, quality recordings, and presentable packages.

The EQX-Posure FAQ...:

Q: I sent in a CD a while ago and never heard anything back, what's up?
A: We may be backed up with submissions and haven't gotten to reviewing your submission yet.
A: The music may not fit our programming philosophy/sound.
A: You may be from outside our area (it's a local music show).
A. You did not include all of the requested information.

Q: What types of music do you feature on EQX-Posure? A: We try to fit the WEQX feel for the most part, but sometimes we push the boundaries for EQX-Posure because it's local, and we love the awesome music scene we've got here, so whatever we can support, we do! If you're not already a listener (shame on you), tune in to the station to get a feel for what we do.

Q: Why can't you just go to my website, check out my band, and listen to my tunes?

A: The easier you make it for us, the quicker we can listen/read a little and know exactly what we've got in our hands. If a band sends me a CD, it i, nstantly gets popped into the stereo and has my 100% attention. If you send me an email with music attached, that requires opening, reading, downloading, burning a CD, etc. Also, sending a short bio with song suggestions, upcoming show dates, etc, helps me learn more about you and what you do.

Q: My band is much bigger than EQX-Posure. How do I get my band into regular rotation?
A: If your music is a candidate for regular WEQX airplay, we will let you know. If not, it certainly doesn't mean your music isn't good enough. It just means that local music has a spot reserved on WEQX already, and hey ya never know what'll happen later on.

Q: This local band is so awesome, why arent you playing them?
A: They may not have submitted any music to the show.  Please, tell them to send me something, I'd love to hear what they've got!

Q: How do I get on Local @ 11?
A: If you're on EQX-Posure, you will be rotated into Local @ 11 automatically.

So yeah, don't be a procrastinator, please, send me what you've got already! I'm incredibly proud of and excited about the local music scene we've got in EQXland, so I wanna hear it all. If you've got any other questions, say hello, I'm not that big of a jerk, I swear... kim@weqx.com

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to hearing your tunes.
