Hayley sings. Ryan plays guitar and sings. Which means Ryan does more. Yeah, but Hayley puts way more time and effort into looking and sounding good on stage and is obviously the face of the project.
Led by the legendary Ryan Montbleau and commanded by the illustrious Hayley Jane, there is rarely a disagreement or power struggle within the project. The two get along like peas andcarrots. Except for when they don’t. But they do. Yeah, sometimes. Hayley, you’re ruining thisbio right now. Well Ryan, I told you to just let me do it! That never ends well. And you’re supposed to leave two spaces after the end of a sentence, I’ve had to go back and fix all ofyours. What? I have never heard of that in my entire life! Don’t fix that one. Ugh, fine. Let’s get back to writing about how great we are.
Ryan Montbleau has been an acclaimed singer, songwriter, and bandleader for more than a decade. Through relentless touring (both on his own and with the Ryan Montbleau Band) and recording seven studio albums, Ryan’s earned a reputation for his gift for melody and a remarkably open-armed approach to songwriting.
Hayley Jane is a singer, songwriter and dancer. She commands the stage with style, grace and a dynamic force that brings joy and inspiration to her devoted fanbase. Hayley Jane is currently recording and touring as a solo artist after years with her national touring act, Hayley Jane and The Primates.
The Trans-Canada Highwaymen (TCH) is a super group consisting of Moe Berg (TPOH), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Craig Northey (Odds) and Steven Page (Ex-BNL). Four guys who have known each other for decades, now all of whom have written songs that have contributed to Canadian culture.
They started playing shows together as TCH in 2017. At the shows, each take turns singing their own hit songs and whoever is not singing lead becomes the backing band for whoever is singing. With all four bringing their A material, it’s a set list full of bangers.
Audiences get the opportunity to hear a setlist full of Can-Rock Classics and it also gives Moe, Chris, Craig and Steven a opportunity to hang out together, laugh their heads off and put that energy into the TCH live shows. In keeping with their credo, “Play the hits!”, TCH have recorded an album of Canadian classics from 1969-1975 called The Trans-Canada Highwaymen Explosive Hits Vol. 1. The songs from that era and the packaging they’ve created are an homage to the K-Tel compilation records of the 1970’s.
The TCH live show will include songs from Explosive Hits Vol. 1 but the emphasis of the TCH live show will still be the the songs these guys have written.

Jazz Is Dead – The legacy all-star instrumental ensemble, famous for interpretations of classic Grateful Dead songs with jazz influences, (re)assembled a killer line-up to immense critical and fan acclaim, and box office success in January. To celebrate Mars Hotel 50th Anniversary, original bassist Alphonso Johnson joined by Steve Kimock, Pete Lavezzoli & Bobby Lee Rodgers, performing songs from Grateful Dead’s ‘Wake of the Flood’, in addition to other beloved selections. Reuniting Steve Kimock & Alphonso Johnson, whom together in heavyweight post-Garcia Grateful Dead off-shoot The Other Ones, along with Bob Weir, commanded the instrumental prowess of that band that shines in Jazz Is Dead.
Formed in 1998 by bassist Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Santana, Bobby & The Midnites, The Other Ones), drummer Billy Cobham (Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Bobby & The Midnites), keyboardist T Lavitz (Dixie Dregs) & guitarist Jimmy Herring (Aquarium Rescue Unit, Widespread Panic), with drummers Rod Morgenstern (Dixie Dregs) & Jeff Sipe (Leftover Salmon) replacing Cobham in 1999, and guitarist Jeff Pevar (CSN, David Crosby CPR, Phil Lesh & Friends) replacing Herring in 2000, recorded 3 acclaimed albums, the second of which ‘Laughing Water’ in 1999 was in fact an instrumental ‘Wake of the Flood’ reinterpretation – so there is precedent. That album also featured Derek Trucks, Donna Jean Godchaux & Vassar Clements.
