12th Annual Lake George Village Oktoberfest

The Lake George Village Oktoberfest and Fall Festival on Columbus Day Weekend on Canada Street across from Shepard Park! The heart of Lake George is transformed into a Bavarian-style street fair as they celebrate the arrival of Fall in the Adirondacks.

The Southern Adirondack Musicians (SAM) Fund is a not for profit (501 C 3) corporation dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to musicians and their families who are facing serious, catastrophic health issues, injuries and death. A volunteer and locally oriented charity (serving Saratoga, Washington and Warren Counties), the S.A.M Fund’s mission is to keep the “wolf from the door” for those in need.

Our area is richer by far because of the incredible amount of talented musicians and artists who make their home here. Please help support them by supporting the SAM Fund.

Located in the heart of Albany, Art on Lark is the Capital City’s favorite arts-oriented street fair.

FALL ART ON LARK FESTIVAL
Back by popular demand, the Art on Lark street festival that celebrates local artists & small businesses in Albany will take place again in September!. The city’s historic Lark Street will be shut down to traffic and transformed by vendor displays including painters, photographers, jewelers, ceramicists, food, a Farmer’s Market and Community Resource Fair along with live, local music. Shoppers can enjoy all the regular businesses Lark Street has to offer including cafés, restaurants, gift shops and bars, as well as over 50 vendors popping up for the day with their individual booths.

With an average yearly attendance of about 10,000 people, Art on Lark is the second largest street festival in upstate New York and has been voted the Capital Region’s Best Arts Event by both the Times Union Readers Poll and Metroland.

Art on Lark is presented by the Lark Street Business Improvement District, a not-for-profit organization that serves to build, sustain, and enhance a unique and prosperous living and business community for the residents, merchants, and visitors of the Lark Street neighborhood of Albany, NY.

Once again, we encourage you to come out to our “Village in the City” for the day and enjoy an eclectic display of Albany’s arts district! This is a fun, family-friendly street festival of local businesses, artists, makers, music, and great food!

Free on-street parking is available in nearby Washington Park as well as along Madison Avenue and Washington Avenue. 3rd Annual Dake Foundation for Kids Golf Tournament

On Friday, September 23rd, it’s the 3rd Annual Golf For Fun Tournament to benefit the Dake Foundation for Children. The Foundation supports children with physical disabilities by providing adaptive equipment, financial support, and services so that they may play, socialize, and enjoy the childhood that every young person deserves.

This year’s tournament takes place Friday, September 23, 2022 (9 am registration, 10 am start) at Ballston Spa Country Club. It is a four person scramble format, with games, prizes, and more surprises along the course! Registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, greens fees, and cart. Sponsorship details vary by level.

At 1:30pm – Precious Metals – Precious Metals is a solo endeavor led by Troy, NY singer-songwriter J Lee White, featuring a rolling cast of contributors. The band’s high energy alt-rock sound pulls from the early 2000s emo explosion and 2010s indie rock revival.

At 3:00pm – The Kaleidoscope Kid – Arizona newcomer The Kaleidoscope Kid is here with his self-titled Suburban Noize Records album debut. Blending counter-culture music with his broad musical and personal appeal, The Kaleidoscope Kid is a gifted songwriter, artist, and designer.

At 4:30pm – Whole Damn Mess – Packing a punch with their unbridled energy and songcraft, the Los Angeles band – Don Miggs, C.Todd Nielsen, Lawrence Katz, and Greg Hansen – forge an instant connection through familiar rock and roll sounds and anthems.

And at 6:00pm – A DJ set from Phantogram –

PMC Unpaved is a one-day bike ride, but the event itself is a full weekend experience! The inaugural event is a full weekend getaway with challenging riding, a celebration with great food and music, and the company of hundreds of other cyclists who love bikes but hate cancer.

Riders are invited to start their PMC Unpaved experience Friday afternoon. Check in at Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, enjoy dinner, meet other PMC Unpaved riders, and relax around a campfire before retiring to your cabin or tent. Riders are welcome to stay at the camp Friday and/or Saturday night or may stay off site and return in the morning to ride.

Let’s ride! The PMC Unpaved ride starts at 9 AM for both the 31- and 50-mile routes. Riders who did not check in Friday night may check in at the camp Saturday morning. Breakfast will be available for all riders before a speaking program and official ride start.

Once riders return to Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, they can enjoy food, drinks, live music, and activities into the evening. Guests are invited to join riders at the post-ride celebration; guest meal tickets can be purchased during rider registration.

PMC Unpaved Living Proof riders and volunteers – those who were previously treated or are currently undergoing cancer treatment – are invited to participate in a group Living Proof photo in the afternoon, representing Living Proof of the progress made through raising funds for cancer research and treatment.

Riders are welcome to stay at the camp Saturday evening and relax after their inaugural PMC Unpaved ride.

Drink Saratoga 2022

The Capital Craft Beverage Trail is thrilled to announce Drink Saratoga, a pop-up New York State craft beverage market and tasting event.

Join them on Friday, June 17th from 6-9 p.m. on the floor of the Saratoga Automobile Museum for the local craft beverage experience of the summer!

Tickets include a souvenir tasting glass and the opportunity to sample world class libations produced right here in the Capital Region. In addition, many products will be available for purchase by the can, bottle and growler to take home.

Early bird tickets will be available until midnight on Monday, May 16th for $30, general admission is $35 thereafter, and tickets will be available at the door for $45. Designated Driver tickets are $5 (no beverage sampling but you can enjoy the exhibits, the company of your friends, and the wares of our food vendors).
